Daily Information

We will be staggering our drop off and pick up times.

  • All vehicles should pull up in the First United Methodist Church driveway stay in line and nobody gets out of the car until a staff comes to your vehicle.

  • Elementary kids (5-year-olds-5th) will exit vehicle and a VBS staff will accompany them to their group in their stations.

  • Arrive between 5:45PM – 5:55PM, as VBS programming starts at 6PM.

  • Your child will be waiting at their assigned station for you, stay in line and they will be brought to the vehicles by a VBS staff member.

What your child will need each day of VBS:

  • A Mask

  • Raincoat if raining

  • Apply sunscreen at home before coming

  • Epi Pen/permission slip if required

VBS will provide this item for each child and keep them till the last day:

  • Backpack: We will label with child’s name.

  • Beach Towel: This will be your child’s ‘sit-on spot’ so we can properly distance our kids.  We will label with child’s name.

  • Water Bottle:  We will label with child’s name and refill with fresh water as need each day.

VBS Snack Schedule:

  • All snacks are individually packaged.

  • If your child has an allergy or dietary concerns, please put on the registration form.

Wellness Policy

At VBS, we strive to provide a healthy environment for all and as that those experiencing symptoms of communicable illnesses refrain from in-person activities.

Due to COVID-19, we cannot emphasize enough the importance of following our wellness policy.  If in the last 14 days, you or someone you are bringing, have been told to quarantine by a medical or government official, had a fever, or a persistent dry cough or shortness of breath, we ask that you please stay home.  We appreciate your care and consideration for others.

If you or one of your children are experiencing any of the below symptoms of communicable illnesses, we ask that you please keep them at home.

  • Fever (100.4 or higher) or Chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

Additional COVID precautions…

  • All VBS activities will be outside unless of thunderstorms, VBS will be canceled. The bathrooms in the church will be available.

  • We will be following the CDC Guidelines as mandated as the time of VBS.

  • Games – we will try as much as possible to use non-contact.   If equipment is required, we will have two sets so we can sanitize the equipment between each station.

  • We will provide a designated sick child area away from all other children with a VBS staff and parents will be notified immediately if your child starts feeling unwell.

Last but not least…

  • All our VBS staff are sorry for all the rules and regulations, but we have guidelines and protocols to follow.  We are trying to have the most memorable VBS as well as a safe place for children to be.  We as a Community VBS will not be at fault if your child or any staff gets COVID.  We will keep VBS sanitized as much as possible.

  • If you have a question or concerns, please call Cheri Kellogg at church office during the day at 814-723-6450.
