Our Beliefs

United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians. Therefore, according to our foundational statement of beliefs in The Book of Discipline, we share the following basic affirmations with all Christian communities.

History of First UMC

First United Methodist Church has always been recognized for its structure and outreach, and service.  World Service, Conference agencies, and missionaries' support have been at the heart of our financing program. In addition, Christian outreach to the community has been the pattern of our organization and membership.
