This is an urban mission trip to Pittsburgh. You'll find crazy cobblestone streets and soaring steel bridges that connect neighborhoods with elderly, isolated residents who need help NOW ! What will we be doing? We spend our days in service working on home repairs for these residents. Some of the projects include painting, dry walling, carpentry and yard work. They might include such things as roofing, minor plumbing or masonry work, replacing doors/windows/floors, etc. We see the difference we've made by the end of our week. We'll also know that God worked through the relationships we've built and the work we've finished. Hopefully, we'll come away wanting to make a difference in a neighborhood near us at home. What about down time? After each day of work, we gather for reflection, teaching & worship so that we are nurtured & encouraged for the ministry back home. This camp is designed with the hope of transforming hearts & minds toward Christ. Our group will be challenged to take on a worldview that is based on Christ like service and instruction from the Bible. How old can you be to attend? You must be going into the 9 th grade to attend this mission trip. We will be leaving for this year's trip on Sunday, June 20 and returning to Warren on June 26, 2010 . March 5 - Beaty Dance 6-9 PM Sign-ups in February. March 14 - Bake Sale - Each family to bring an item to First Church to sell by 9:30 AM. March 20 - Spring Fling Formal Dance - Sign-ups wll be done in early March.  Youth and Parents are needed to help w/this fundraiser. April 8 - Pizza Hut 5-8 PM.  Sign-ups during March. April 16 & 17 - Wesley Woods Pittsburgh Project Retreat.  All youth are expected to attend.  This retreat is being planned to help the youth and adult chaperones become better acquainted. April 22 - Daughter's Banquet 6:00 PM.  We will be doing sign-ups in March. April 30 & May 1 - Allen Class Rummage Sale & Bake Sale.  Sign-ups in March.	2005 Pittsburgh Project
