Here's what's happening in our
Adult Sunday School Classes in November:
Allen
Class (Parlor A) - Scripture study from 1st andd 2nd Peter
led by Mary Merenick and Jane Betts.
Faithful
Followers (Parlor B) - Video based study on "Christianity
and World Religions" led by Karen Yourchisin.
Jolley
Class (Covert Room) - "UPRISING: A Revolution of the Soul"
led by Rich Fitch.
FOR
WOMEN:
Each Tuesday at 1 PM, the women meet in the Covert Room for a light
breakfast and study. Special meetings only
for the summer.
United Methodist Women
is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience
freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative,
supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation
in the global ministries of the church. The UMW meet the fourth Thursday
of each month at noon or 7:30 p.m., September through April, and are
involved in a host of outreach and mission activities.
CHURCH MICE:
Each
member of the church who is a full-time student at a college or university
has a contact with a local church member who corresponds with them
throughout the year, keeping them informed of church and community
activities and providing "snack packs" at holiday and exam time. The
identity of the "mouse" is kept secret until the end of the year.
FOR MEN:
The men
meet weekly from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. on Wednesdays in the Covert Room. The
men take turns preparing breakfast. Various books are chosen by the group
for discussion and study. |
